Ash Alchemy : Art after Fire

On NYE 2019 my tiny hometown district lost over 300 homes to the Badja Forest Road fire. Afterwards I started making houses from cardboard & clay, paper & perspex, Lego & linen.
These became the vessel to explore ideas of house & home (& homelessness) while the photographic installations of these houses featured in my creative practice research output,
the Ash Alchemy Abecedary artist’s book.
